She feels her artistic energy present in every aspect of her life, “Creativity is like a trance that you're born under.” “A creative eye can influence all objects and every environment.”
In New York from my early adolescence I was painting and creating objects, I attended courses at the Fashion Institute of Technology and received drawing lessons. This enabled me to produce large scale paintings, and exclusive hand-painted fashion wear in addition I designed ladies handbags for a prominent NYC company. On commission I painted entire rooms with murals on repeated themes of the great masters. Picasso and Leger were my idols at the time. It was obvious that my heart was in it but my personal life choices took me in another business direction. So to make a long story short, ten years ago I replunged into the art scene to find my heart and persue my first passion and was supported by the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Nice, France for my first exhibit in design ceramics.
Today I live and create in a region that fills my eyes with the same brilliant sunshine that the impressionists saught out and that Picasso saw when he worked in Vallauris to produce his world famous ceramics for Madura and the creation of the chapel. Was it fate or luck that I too was drawn to study ceramics in the Beaux-Arts of Vallauris, Frances’ leading ceramics haven in the southern part of the country under the same master craftsmen that assisted Picasso in producing his works. Jacques Bro, Edmond Giuzol, Philippe Melano. I equally studied at the Ecole des Arts Plastics in Monaco under the gifted Daphne Corrigan. My desire to challenge myself lead me to travel to the Tzech Republic where due to there genius and outstanding technical abilities in crystal and porcelaine I was able to accomplish design objects of the highest quality.
Presently I am developing similar projects in China and Africa applying ancestral technics to my contemporary creations in porcelaine objects and sculptures.
